Zilia holds a Master of Arts in Humanitarian Assistance from Tufts University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and has done extensive work on internally displaced people in Colombia. As part of this project, Zilia will be participating in the 13th conference of the International Association for the Study of Forced Migration which will be hosted by the Refugee Law Project, Kampala, Uganda on July 3 - 6, 2011. Zilia is also working on an additional project, "Cultural-determination among Canadian Indigenous Peoples", through which she is documenting North American Pow Wows. She has recently started to experiment with commercial photography. You can find more of her work here
